Election Prayer Targets  
 

 A. Pray for the Integrity of the Voting Process:

   -That it would be safe, fair, transparent and every legal vote would be counted and accurately reported.

                    The Lord demands accurate scales and balances; he sets the standards for fairness. 
                    (Proverbs 16:11 NLT)

                     Providing for things honest, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
                    (II Cor 8:21)

     -Pray that God would expose, frustrate and thwart the plans of those who would try to sabotage
      and subvert state and federal election laws. 
     
                    He frustrates the plans of schemers so the work of their hands will not succeed  (Job 5:12 NLT)

                    There are six things the Lord hates,  seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying  
                    tongue,  hands that shed innocent blood,  a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are
                    quick to rush into evil,  a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict
                    in the community.  (Prov 6:16-19 NIV)
     

B.  Pray for the People Voting:

      -Pray that every lie, misrepresentation and false narrative of each political candidate be
      exposed and their true policy positions and plans be plainly made known to all.

                     For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known
                     and come to light.  (Luke 8:17 NKJV)
 

                      ...find out what pleases the Lord.   Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of
                     darkness, but rather expose them.  (Eph 5:10-11 NIV)
 

       -Pray that God would give ALL voters wisdom from above so that they can discern and make   
          wise and informed voting decisions.

                         If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and
                      upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  (James 1:5)

       
                      Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart…that I may discern between good  
                      and  evil.  (1 Kings 3:9)
                    

-Pray that every Christian understand their responsibility to turn out to vote and their 
  accountability to vote according to God’s expressed will in His Word.
 

                        Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
                       (James 4:17 NKJV)

                        Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.  (Prov 3:7 NIV)

                        Be careful to obey all these words that I command you, that it may go well with you and
                        with your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the sight of the
                        LORD your God.  (Deuteronomy 12:28)

C. Pray the Plan of God for this Nation

        -Pray that righteous laws be passed and wicked, ungodly laws be repealed

                         Righteousness makes a nation great. but sin is a disgrace to any people.  (Prov 14:34 GNT)

         -Pray that leaders whose hearts on promoting wickedness be removed and replaced with
           leaders that will promote biblical Righteousness.

                         For the upright shall dwell in the land, And the perfect (those of integrity) shall remain in it.
                         But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth & the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.    
                       (Prov 2:21-22)
 

       -Pray for the Outpouring of God’s Spirit in the United States

                  Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright
                  clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field. (Zech 10:1)

     - Pray for the harvest of souls

                    Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. 
                   (Matt 9:38)

 

       - Pray for Revival in the Body of Christ

                    Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? (Psalm 85:6)
